The U.S. National Preparatory Committee has been getting a lot of interest recently bringing in such organizations as The School of the Americas Watch (SOA Watch), Pastors for Peace, the Young Socialists of America, the Venceremos Brigade and the Young Communist League, USA as well as many young people from all over America.
As the festival approaches the American delegation is very exited to attend and represent the youth of the U.S. and the many issues facing us and the world. From the poor state of education systems and the extracurricular activities they provide to the two wars and crippling unemployment that effect youth the most we certainly have many issues that need to be represented on an international platform.
As we know, we here in America are represented badly on the international stage. The wars we are in are very unpopular both here and abroad as is the ruthless form of capitalism we have loosed on the world. However we also know that the American people do not condone the things done in it’s name internationally and we need to show our brothers and sisters around the globe what the American people really want. Peace, equality, justice and the freedom to enjoy simple rights and pleasures.
